THE ROADSHOW
THAT GOES
EVERYWHERE.
Gum litter is a behaviour problem, not an awareness problem. You cannot fix it from a poster, so we turn up in person, county by county, every summer.
THE CHALLENGE
Everybody already knows dropping gum on a footpath is antisocial. Knowing it has never been the problem.
Which makes this a behaviour brief, not an awareness one, and behaviour does not move because a poster asked it to. It moves when something interrupts the moment the habit happens, in the street where it happens, in front of the person doing it.
Doing that nationally means doing it everywhere. Not a city campaign with a national press release attached.
THE APPROACH
A roadshow that tours Irish local authorities through the summer, rolled out in phases so a small team can genuinely cover the country rather than claim to.
It runs with the people already doing this work locally: each council's Environmental Awareness Officer, and the Tidy Towns groups who know their own towns far better than we do.
And it goes where the crowd already is. Rather than staging an event and hoping for footfall, each date is timed to land inside something people were going to anyway: Spraoi in Waterford, Cork Midsummer, Kilkenny Arts, Flavours of Finglas, Forest Fest, Bloomsday and the Dalkey Book Festival, Cairde in Sligo.
THE SCALE
The 2026 programme covers 29 local authorities across three phases, launching in Dublin City and running from June into late August.
And it comes back. That is the part that matters most: a behaviour campaign that appears once is an event, and one that returns every summer, to the same towns, with the same local partners, is a habit of its own.
